AIM: To observe which nail polish brand will maintain quality the longest and the relationship between cost and quality in each brand.
HYPOTHESIS: That the most expensive brands will last the longest and appear the best whilst the cheapest brands will chip faster.
EQUIPMENT:
- 10 different brands of red nail-polish: Maybelline, OPI, L'oreal, MAC, Napolean, BYS, NYC, Wet'N'Wild, Cover-girl, Chanel (wider variety of costs and brands to be finalised later)
METHOD:
1. Gather necessary equipment including 10 different brands of nail polish
2. Paint each finger a different brand, with two layers
3. Allow nails to dry
4. Leave for 1-2 weeks untill chipping or discolouration etc occurs
5. Repeat 2-3 times, swapping between left and right hands and different fingers
6. Observe and record results
